Capt. Benjamin Nasmith is a lecturer in the Department of Physics and Space Science, military pilot, and former Qualified Flying Instructor on the Harvard 2 turboprop aircraft. He completed a BSc at RMC in 2007, Combined Honours in Mathematics and Physics. He also completed an MSc in Physics at RMC in 2008 and was awarded the Governor General’s Academic Medal – Gold. His MSc thesis is entitled “Extending the London Theory to Include Steady-State Electric Fields in Superconductivity.” In 2017 he completed a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Briercrest Seminary in Caronport SK with a thesis entitled “Cognitive Idolatry and the Trinity in the Philosophy of Paul K. Moser.”
Capt Nasmith’s courses taught include Physics of the Space Environment, Battlefield Surveillance and Target Acquisition, and Classical Mechanics. His research interests include classical electrodynamics, special relativity in relation to nonlocal physics, and philosophy of physics.
